Ah, the talk about letters to Santa and everything just reminds me how I used to help Maka write hers when she was little~♥ She'd always ask for picture books and stuff, even before she could really read them. Always smart, practical things, and it was so weird to me, 'cause when I was her age, I was just asking for toy cars and candy.
She and her mama made the cutest cookies, too! In all kinds of shapes with frosting and sprinkles~~~ They'd always set out the cookies and milk with a little note to Santa right before she went to bed~~~♥
U-until after that year I got distracted by that girl in the elf costume at the store and maybe drank a little too much egg nog with her and forgot to put out the presents and eat the cookies when I got home and Maka thought Santa had hated her cookies and I had to make up some story about him leaving the presents in the wrong room and my wife made me sleep on the couch for a month and why the hell am I talking about this in public
...Honestly, the whole holiday season's a little tougher than I thought it'd be, even if this place isn't exactly bursting with festive music and decorations as reminders.
Speaking of the few decorations there are, though, why are there never any women around when I'm near any mistletoe here? I spent like, forty minutes standing under it yesterday and waiting for someone to come by, but only men ever showed up so I just had to keep running and hiding behind things.
Well. So long as it's better than our last Christmas though, right? Jeez, I know the timing's weird here, but it's still hard to believe so much time has passed already.
